When your flight (booked on your own) arrives at the Anchorage International Airport, our guide will greet you at Baggage Claim to assist you with your luggage. You’ll head to your hotel in Anchorage then enjoy dinner at a local Anchorage Restaurant and turn in for the night.

You’ll depart with your guide by plane and fly through the beautiful Cooke Inlet where we will see grand views of volcanoes, ocean and mountains. You’ll check into the Bear Mountain Lodge, then enjoy the day with short walks, bear viewing and sitting by the fire in one of the best places in the world to see brown bears.

Wake up to one of the most beautiful and remote places in the world, Lake Clark National Park. We will be the only guests in the area viewing bears and the scenery around our remote and comfortable lodge. Our Alaskan guides will take you around the area for the best bear, salmon and wildlife viewing to be had in the area. You may see as many as 40 different bears in a day!

We say goodbye to Bear Mountain Lodge by flying out through the Cooke Inlet and back to Anchorage. You will then take a beautiful scenic drive to Seward, where we will spend the night. Time permitting; we will visit the Alaska Sealife Center, Alaska’s only public aquarium and ocean wildlife rescue center. On the shores of Resurrection Bay, visitors to this “window on the sea” have close encounters with puffins, octopus, sea lions and other sea life.

This day includes the breathtaking scenery at Kenai Fjords National Park boasts which abundant wildlife as well as alpine and tidewater glaciers. Orcas, humpback whales, harbor seals, sea otters, Steller sea lions, Dall’s porpoise, black bears, brown bears, bald eagle, mountain goat, puffins, along with countless other species of marine birds can all be seen within this picturesque national park.

You’ll depart beautiful Seward and travel to Valdez on a ferry boat cruise through the Prince William Sound. Calving glaciers, orcas, humpback whales, porpoise, sea otters and eagles can all be observed on this full day cruise. You’ll arrive in Valdez with enough time to shop, eat, and experience this important port city for the evening.

Enjoy a free morning in the beautiful harbor town of Valdez, before departing for the largest national park in the United States, Wrangell St. Elias National Park and Preserve. On our way over Thompson Pass we will stop to take in the beautiful scenery, wildlife, waterfalls, and glaciers before settling into the Currant Ridge Cabins or similar for the night.

This day begins with a cruise to the remote region of Alaska’s interior. We will view many miles of huge vistas, lakes, mountains and wildlife, arriving in the Denali National Park area in time for dinner. Common animals to see on this drive are caribou, moose, eagles, grizzly and black bear.

We’ll catch the first bus into the park to see wildlife in the pristine wilderness known as Denali. Weather permitting, we may see North America’s tallest mountain topping off at 20,237 feet. Common sightings may include wolves, grizzly bears, red fox, coyote, moose, dall sheep, caribou, ptarmigan, sandhill cranes, and bald eagles. BrushBuck customers will have the opportunity to jump on and off the bus as they choose along the park’s road — just make sure you’re back for dinner.

As we end our tour of the Alaska wilderness, we’ll enjoy lunch and shopping in the historic village of Talkeetna, nestled at the base of Mt. McKinley. This charming town provides a stellar panoramic view of the Alaska Range before returning to Anchorage where we will say our goodbyes.
