Travel Itinerary
Day 1 - Salt Lake City - Antelope Island State Park - Hill Aerospace Museum - Salt Lake City
Salt Lake City
- If guests arrive at SLC airport and are picked up by the tour guide before noon, the will be driven to various Salt Lake City sites including Temple Square, Utah State Capitol and Beehive House.
- If guests arrive after noon but before six, we will have some time to visit the the highlights of Salt Lake City, but not all.
- If guests arrive after 6pm, they will be transferred directly to your Salt Lake City Hotel. If it is too late to visit the attractions, we will not refund the fee.
All routes will end the day in a SLC hotel.
Temple Square
Temple Square is often seen as the heart of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints (LDS), also known as the Mormons. Back in the late 1840s when LDS pioneers first reached Utah, they decided to build a temple that would be the center of their religious society. From there, the church grew outwards across Utah, then throughout the United States, and then throughout the world. Temple Square is still the headquarters for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints to this day, containing other historic buildings such as the Tabernacle, the Beehive House, and the Conference Center. You'll love observing the beautiful architecture of these buildings while learning about the history of these early pioneers.
Utah State Capitol
Modeled after the US Capitol Building in Washington DC, the Utah State Capitol Building is stunning. This brilliant piece of architecture is the center of government for all of Utah, containing the chambers for the Utah State Legislature, the chamber for the Utah Supreme Court, and the office for the Utah Governor. In addition to its important role as the seat of government for all of Utah, the Capitol Building also holds incredible pieces of artwork depicting the history of the state. Here the Beehive House also presides, one of the official residences of Brigham Young, the second president of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The Beehive House gets its name from the beehive sculpture atop the house.
Antelope Island State Park
Choose to hike the Buffalo Point Trail for the perfect panoramic view of the Great Salt Lake and the vast open country. Visit historic Fielding Garr Ranch and swim at Bridger Bay Beach, a large sandy beach, and the best place to take a swim in the Great Salt Lake. (Depending on time, this attraction may be moved to the last day).
Day 2 - Salt Lake City - Mesa Falls - Yellowstone National Park - West Yellowstone
Mesa Falls
Mesa Falls stands out as one of the last natural waterfalls on the Snake River, untouched by dams or development. Lower Mesa Falls tumbles through volcanic rock, its waters cutting into layers of solidified lava. Upstream, Upper Mesa Falls plunges over remnants of an ancient eruption, a dramatic reminder of the region’s fiery geologic past. A scenic walking path here leads to excellent viewpoints.
West Yellowstone:
This small town is immediately west of Yellowstone National Park, with gift shops and museums. We won't stop here for long, just for lunch and getting ready for Yellowstone, (although this is where your hotel will be for the night).
Yellowstone
Spanning nearly 3,500 miles over 3 states, Yellowstone National Park is one of Americas top 10 largest national parks. The park is home to nearly half of the world's thermal features. Additionally, see the only herd of bison dating to prehistoric times as well as bears, wolves and other animal life.

Day 3 - Continue Your Visit of Yellowstone National Park
We will continue visiting the locations above, as well has staying overnight in West Yellowstone.
Day 4 - Grand Teton National Park - Jenny Lake - Jackson Hole
Grand Teton National Park
Grand Teton National Park gets its name from the Teton Mountains that run through the park, one of the youngest mountain ranges in North America. We will take you to these mountains as well as Jackson Lake and Jenny Lake. Here you will have a chance of seeing moose, wolves, coyotes, bighorn sheep, mule deer, bison, elk, bison and more of the natural wildlife that inhibits the area. Take a cruise on Jackson Lake while also getting a good view of Mount Moran. Learn a bit about local history, geology, and folklore and take in the sights, With knowledgeable guides, you will also learn about the flora and fauna that surrounds the lake.
Jenny Lake
Jenny Lake is the second largest lake in Grand Teton. Jenny Lake has two of the most famous ways to play, one is to walk around the Jenny Lake Trail (10 kilometers); the other is to take a boat trip to the other side of the lake (at your own cost), then take the moderately steep hike to Hidden Falls and Inspiration Point.
Jackson Hole
After departing from your campsite or hotel, your guide will take you on or finish your tour of Jackson Hole and the area around it. Since Jackson Hole is the southern entrance of Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Park, we will be able to spend a bit more time in Grand Teton National Park. Here you can take pictures of Mormon Row and hike up to Snake River Overlook, following the footsteps of conservationist, photographer and writer, Ansel Adams.
Day 5 - National Elk Refuge - Natural Hot Spring Resort - Salt Lake City
National Elk Refuge
This refuge was made in 1912 in order to protect large elk herds from predators and hunters during the winter months. Most of the elk depart from the refuge in late April to go to their summer grazing grounds. Once the elk are gone, they leave a vast open landscape with incredible views of the plains and rolling hills of outwash plains caused by the melting of glaciers.
Lava Hot Springs
Here we will take some time to relax and soak in mineral hot springs. The hot spring temperatures range from 102 - 112 degrees Fahrenheit.
Note: If you would not like to participate in the activities at the natural hot spring, your tour guide will take you to Bear Lake State Park, the American West heritage center, and the Bear River Bird Refuge to discover wildlife. This refuge offers some of the most phenomenal water bird watching in the western U.S.
Salt Lake City
After driving back from the hot springs, we will return to Salt Lake City for departure. We will either drop you off at the airport of hotel of your choosing. For other departure locations, please contact us so we can personalize your tour.

- Salt Lake City Airport (SLC) Pick-up - Guests are requested to arrive at the airport before 09:00 AM. Later arrivals may require changes to the itinerary and additional fees.

- Booking early is highly recommended as availability is limited.
- Children five years or younger may not be able to participate in all of the activities listed on the itinerary. If you have children who are five years or younger, please let us know so we can make adjustments.
- If cancellation occurs 30 days prior to the start date of the tour, the cost of the tour will be rolled over into a credit that must be used within six months of the original tour date. Alternatively, we could refund 50% of the total tour cost back to the card. This credit can be used towards the cost of any tour offered by Nomad Unlimited Adventures.
