After the show people will disperse for a early dinner before heading to the nearbye town of Boulder City to rest and prepare for the big day of excitement on day 3!
Depart Las Vegas and head northeast into the heart of southern Utah, where towering sandstone spires and crimson canyons await. Bryce Canyon National Park, famous for its unique hoodoo formations, transforms into a surreal snowy dreamscape during winter. The white snow contrasts beautifully against the deep red rock, offering unforgettable photo opportunities.
Winter adds an enchanting layer to Bryce. The park’s famous hoodoos—jagged red rock towers—are dusted with snow, creating a contrast of warm and cool tones that photographers dream of. Walk to Sunrise Point or peer into the Bryce Amphitheater, where each angle reveals a new, otherworldly perspective. Trails like the Rim Walk offer easy and breathtaking strolls.
This evening, cozy up in a mountain lodge in nearby Bryce Canyon City or Tropic. Enjoy a hearty dinner and perhaps a bit of stargazing. Bryce is known for some of the clearest night skies in the country. The silence and stillness here offer a truly magical contrast to city life.
This morning, drive southwest to Zion National Park—a land of towering cliffs, narrow slot canyons, and peaceful river walks. Zion’s grandeur feels larger-than-life, even more so in winter when the crowds thin and the serenity of snow settles in the red rock crevices. Every bend of the Virgin River reveals another picture-perfect scene.
Spend the afternoon beneath Zion’s iconic cliffs. Walk along the Virgin River on the easy, tranquil Riverside Walk or explore the Emerald Pools, where icy waterfalls and red canyon walls frame your every step. Wildlife is abundant this time of year, and the silence of the season allows you to hear the wind whispering between canyon walls.
You’ll have the chance to choose your own level of adventure—opt for a relaxed riverside stroll or challenge yourself with a short but steep climb for panoramic views. Springdale, the town just outside the park entrance, offers charming cafes and local art for those who want to unwind nearby.
After an afternoon immersed in natural splendor, return to your lodging near Zion. As the sun sets, watch the canyon walls glow in shades of orange and rose, and savor a peaceful evening beneath the desert stars.
After a final sunrise in Zion’s soaring canyons, you’ll begin a short but scenic drive to Cedar City, a hidden gem nestled between red desert valleys and alpine ridgelines. Along the way, we’ll take a brief detour to Parowan Gap, where ancient petroglyphs etched into canyon walls tell stories older than the Roman Empire. This open-air gallery of symbols and celestial calendars invites wonder, curiosity, and awe—the perfect bridge between natural beauty and human history.
From there, ascend to Cedar Breaks National Monument, often called “Bryce’s little cousin,” where a vast amphitheater of crimson spires opens beneath a snowy rim at over 10,000 feet. With winter’s hush settling over the high desert, the views are otherworldly. Weather permitting, we’ll take in panoramic overlooks, photograph the dramatic contrast of red rock and white snow, and enjoy the crisp alpine air in peaceful solitude.
For guests seeking one more brush with the cosmos, an optional add-on stargazing experience is available tonight—venture just outside the city under one of Utah’s dark sky zones for a guided look at planets, constellations, and the brilliance of the Milky Way. (Guest responsible for cost; weather dependent.)
Today’s drive takes you westward across starkly beautiful desert terrain before climbing into the rugged majesty of the Eastern Sierra. As you pass through open basins and wind-carved valleys, the towering peaks of the Sierra Nevada come into view—snow-capped, dramatic, and irresistible. By early afternoon, you’ll arrive in Mammoth Lakes, a town built for winter magic.
Mammoth Mountain is a paradise for snow lovers. With over 3,500 acres of terrain and stunning high-altitude views, it’s one of California’s premier ski destinations. Whether you’re carving fresh powder, snowshoeing among alpine trees, or soaking in the steamy waters of nearby hot springs, the energy here is invigorating. Even non-skiers will find plenty to explore and enjoy.
Rest in slope-side luxury at Juniper Springs Resort or The Village Lodge, where rustic elegance and cozy amenities await. After dinner, take a stroll beneath the stars—the air is crisp, the snow glows under moonlight, and the mountains feel closer than ever.
As the morning sun hits Mammoth’s peaks, you’ll begin your scenic drive around the Sierra toward Yosemite National Park. Although the direct route via Tioga Pass is closed in winter, the longer road through Gold Country offers its charm: rolling hills, granite cliffs, and charming old towns frozen in time. Stop for coffee or photos in places like Groveland or Mariposa as you wind your way to Yosemite’s west entrance.
By afternoon, you’ll enter the heart of the Yosemite Valley. Granite icons like El Capitan and Half Dome rise dramatically above the valley floor, their faces often streaked with snow. Explore at your own pace—visit Tunnel View, take a short winter hike, or simply gaze in awe as mist swirls around the base of Bridalveil Fall. Winter brings quiet, reflection, and jaw-dropping beauty.

Then, say goodbye to the high country as you descend into the rolling vineyards and orchards of California’s Central Valley.
This scenic drive westward offers the perfect moment to reflect. Stop for lunch in a charming Gold Rush town like Jamestown or sample fresh fruit stands in the San Joaquin Valley. As you cross the final miles, the shimmering waters of San Francisco Bay greet you, and the silhouette of the Golden Gate Bridge welcomes you to the journey’s grand finale.
Your final night is yours to celebrate. Cap off the evening with ease—gather in the hotel’s lounge or waterfront patio, enjoy a quality dinner at a nearby eatery, or simply breathe in the breeze off the bay.
