Itinerary

+ Day 1:  Arrival in Salt Lake City – Scenic Transfer – West Yellowstone / Optional Experiences

Departure Time: 9:00–9:30 AM from Salt Lake City (SLC Airport or select hotels).

Flight Arrival Guidelines:
Guests arriving before 12:00 PM (or ready for the 9:00–9:30 AM departure) may participate in optional half-day sightseeing. Guests arriving after 12:00 PM, or when winter road conditions require immediate northbound travel, will proceed directly to West Yellowstone for hotel check-in. Morning arrivals are strongly recommended.

Optional Experiences (Time & Weather Permitting)

Salt Lake City Highlights
Visit Temple Square, Utah State Capitol (subject to accessibility), and the Great Salt Lake. Winter reflections over the lake create beautiful scenery against the Wasatch Mountains.

Lava Hot Springs
Relax in naturally heated mineral pools ranging from approximately 102–112°F. These geothermal waters provide a rejuvenating start to your winter journey.

Continue north to West Yellowstone (or en-route lodging depending on conditions).

+ Day 2:  Yellowstone National Park – Winter Snow Coach Adventure

Approximate Duration: 8:00 AM – 4:00/5:00 PM

Today features a full-day exploration of Yellowstone National Park via heated snow coach, offering safe and comfortable access through snow-covered terrain.

Madison Junction & Winter Valleys
Travel through wide-open landscapes where bison are often seen moving among steaming geothermal features.

Black Sand Basin & Fountain Paint Pots
Observe colorful thermal pools and bubbling mud pots dramatically framed by snow and ice.

Old Faithful & Upper Geyser Basin
Witness Old Faithful erupt against the winter sky and explore surrounding geysers including Castle, Daisy, Riverside, and Grand. Time is provided at Old Faithful Snow Lodge to relax and enjoy your included boxed lunch.

Optional Snowshoe Experience
Conditions permitting, enjoy a light snowshoe walk near the Old Faithful area.

Return to West Yellowstone in the late afternoon.

+ Day 3:  Winter Wonderland Exploration – Return to Salt Lake City

Depart West Yellowstone in the morning for your final day of winter exploration. Activities will be arranged based on weather and road conditions.

Winter Wonderland Exploration – One of the Following:

1. Jackson Hole, Wyoming
Explore this charming Western mountain town known for its iconic elk antler arches and vibrant arts scene. Enjoy free time at Town Square for photos and shopping.

2. Grand Teton National Park – Winter Wildlife Corridor
Admire the snow-covered Teton Range and open valleys. Wildlife sightings may include moose, elk, bison, coyotes, mule deer, and bighorn sheep. Scenic stops near Jackson Lake provide excellent photography opportunities.

3. Hill Aerospace Museum (Weather-Dependent Alternative)
If winter conditions limit access to Grand Teton, a visit to Hill Aerospace Museum near Salt Lake City may be arranged.

Domestic flights: 8:00 PM or later
International flights: 8:30 PM or later
Evening departures are strongly recommended due to winter travel conditions.

National Park Entrance Fees – Important Notice

For Non–U.S. Residents Only

Effective January 1, 2026, non–U.S. residents are required to pay entrance fees when visiting the national parks listed below. Travelers may choose one of the following options:

Option 1: “America the Beautiful” Annual Pass

  • Price: USD $250 per pass
  • Coverage: Valid for up to four adults (the passholder plus three additional adults, ages 16 and over)

Option 2: Individual Park Entry Fee

  • Price: USD $100 per person, per park (ages 16 and over)

Applicable Parks:
Acadia, Bryce Canyon, Everglades, Glacier, Grand Canyon, Grand Teton, Rocky Mountain, Sequoia & Kings Canyon, Yellowstone, Yosemite, and Zion.

Friendly Reminder:
For travelers visiting two or more national parks, or traveling in a group of two or more adults, purchasing the Annual Pass is generally more cost-effective.
