Itinerary

+ Day 1:  Arrival in Kathmandu

Welcome to Nepal, the enchanting Himalayan nation where adventure meets tradition. Upon your arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, our representative will be waiting to greet you and assist with your transfer to your hotel in Kathmandu. After settling in and taking some time to rest, you’ll enjoy a welcome dinner at a traditional Nepalese restaurant in the heart of the city. During dinner, you’ll receive a brief orientation about your upcoming journey. The evening concludes with an overnight stay at your hotel in Kathmandu.

+ Day 2:  Flight from Kathmandu to Lukla -trek to Phakding

We begin the day with an early morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla, a thrilling 40-minute journey offering spectacular views of the Himalayas. Due to the remote mountain conditions, occasional delays or cancellations may occur, so some itinerary flexibility is essential. Once we land at Lukla’s tiny airstrip, we’ll meet our Sherpa crew and begin organizing the gear for the porters. While preparations are underway, you’ll have a chance to explore the village and take in the mountain atmosphere. From Lukla, we start our trek with a gentle 3–4 hour walk heading northwest to the riverside village of Phakding. After settling in, you’re free to stroll around the village, connect with locals, or simply relax as you take your first steps into the Khumbu region. Overnight in Phakding.

+ Day 3:  Phakding to Namche Bazaar

After breakfast, we continue our journey toward the vibrant mountain town of Namche Bazaar. The trail follows the banks of the Dudh Koshi River, which we’ll cross twice via thrilling suspension bridges. As we approach the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park, we’ll complete the required check-in and begin a steady descent before gradually ascending again through pine forests and along the river’s edge. After a scenic stretch, we reach Jorsalle—the final village before Namche—where we take a brief rest before tackling a series of challenging uphill climbs. This final leg rewards us with our first distant glimpses of Mt. Everest (weather permitting) and surrounding peaks. After 5–6 hours of trekking, we arrive at Namche Bazaar, a bustling Sherpa hub known for its lively markets, cafes, and mountain charm. Overnight in Namche Bazaar.

+ Day 4:  Trek to Everest Viewpoint, Kumjung Village, and Namche Bazaar

Today is an acclimatization and exploration day in Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,283ft), allowing us to adjust to the altitude while enjoying some of the most scenic and culturally rich sites in the region. We begin with a hike to the renowned Everest Viewpoint (3,867m/12,684ft), where, on a clear day, you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of Everest, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, and other towering peaks. From there, we continue to Khumjung Village (3,790m/12,431ft), nestled in a hidden valley beneath the mountains. This is one of the largest villages in the region and offers a closer look at Sherpa life. Here, we’ll visit the Hillary School, founded by Sir Edmund Hillary, and explore nearby Khunde Village—home to many legendary climbers and the region’s largest hospital, also established through Hillary’s efforts. After a full day of trekking and cultural immersion (6–7 hours total), we return to Namche Bazaar for the night. Overnight in Namche.

+ Day 5:  Trek to Lukla

After breakfast, we begin our return trek to Lukla (2,800m/9,186ft), retracing our steps through the scenic trails of the Khumbu region. This 6–7 hour walk allows you to soak in the lush greenery, terraced hillsides, and charming Sherpa villages that line the route, offering a final opportunity to appreciate the beauty and culture of the Everest region. As we descend, the familiar landscape takes on new meaning, filled with reflections of the journey behind us. Upon arriving in Lukla, you’ll have time to relax and explore the town at your leisure. In the evening, we’ll gather for a celebratory farewell dinner with our trekking crew—a chance to share memories and express gratitude for the adventure. Overnight stay in Lukla.

+ Day 6:  Flight back to Kathmandu

This morning, you’ll board an early flight from Lukla back to Kathmandu—weather permitting—enjoying one last aerial glimpse of the majestic Himalayas. Upon arrival, our guide will assist with your transfer to the hotel, where you’ll have ample time to relax and unwind after your incredible trekking adventure. Take the day to rest, reflect, or explore a bit more of Kathmandu at your own pace. In the evening, we’ll reunite for a special farewell dinner, celebrating the journey we’ve shared and the memories made in the heart of the Himalayas.

+ Day 7:  Departure from Kathmandu

On the final day of your journey, you’re free to spend the morning at your leisure—enjoy a relaxing cup of coffee, pick up last-minute souvenirs, or simply rest and reflect on your adventure. When it’s time for your departure, our Nepal Vision representative will escort you to the international airport and assist with your transfer. We wish you safe travels, continued success, and hope to welcome you back again in the future.
